Have you ever had one of those moments in your life when you just feel like you need a complete makeover from head to toe? I have those moments quite often in the natural! I'll be the first to admit that there's nothing that makes me feel better than a shopping trip to Macy's or a trip to get my roots colored and hair cut at the salon. However, last week I was feeling like I needed that experience in my spirit man. I wasn't doing anything wrong or in blatant sin, but I just felt like I needed a complete overhaul spiritually. I woke up Monday morning and made a fresh commitment to God and asked Him to begin to purge out of me anything that didn't look like Him. I began to read Psalm 51 where David said "Create in me a clean heart, Oh God and renew a right spirit within me." As I studied that out I found that the word "create" in that passage was the same word that was used in Genesis 1:1"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." It means the creation of something that never existed before. Whew! That began to make me feel good that God could recreate me and not just give me a makeover। Sometimes it's just better to start over from scratch. It's kind of like when you burn a batch of toast. Instead of trying to scratch off the burnt part...what do we usually do? Start all over again! So, my prayer all week has been...God start all over again with me and make me into what you intended for me to be!

New CD Project
We are very excited to announce that plans for the second worship project are under way. Shari will begin recording in just a few short weeks! She has been waiting for the release from God to begin for several months. Just two weeks ago, God spoke to her heart and said "Get a plan and I will go with you!" So here we are! The title of the new worship project is "Outpour." All of the songs on this project are original and are along the theme of experiencing an outpour of the presence of God. She has been given the opportunity to have this project recorded and produced by 2007 Dove Award nominated producer, Marque Walker.
Please pray as to how God might have you be a part of this worship project. We believe that more than ever before, God's people need to experience an "Outpour" of the rain of the spirit. To walk out the assignment of the Lord on our lives in this season we must remain in a place of saturation.
Get ready for the "Outpour!"

"It's Studio Time"

Well...today I got started actually doing some recording on two of the songs on the project. There is so much that goes into a CD project. Jeff and I are learning so much! The last project was "live" so we didn't have to go through the same process as we are with this project. I thank God for Marque, my producer. He has such an "ear" and is so incredibly talented. So the new CD is "officially" underway! Thank you Jesus!

Why can't we get it through our thick skull that God's Got Us!
It's so funny how we go through situations in our lives and in the middle of them we start feeling like we are drowning and all alone. No matter how many times God comes through for us, we still go through those moments of doubt and loneliness, like we're sinking into a huge hole. I was reading the familiar scripture "Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10) and began to study out what it really meant. The "Be still" part means to be relaxed, not making an effort or putting forth exertion. It's like having a calm, confident, trustful state of mind no matter what things look like. What? Like who really does that? That's where the Lord began to deal with me. I have to learn to trust that God has my life in His hands no matter what things look like to me. The second part of that scripture "and know that I am God" literally means to LOOK at what I have already done! It means to understand that God is the fountain of everything we need! I co-wrote a song on my last CD that says "God will work it out...I know someway...I know somehow....He is faithful...God is faithful....I tried Him and I know that He is faithful..." We all can say amen to that! God help me to know that You not only see the beginning of a thing, but You see the end too and You are working it all out!!!

CD Update
Hey everybody!!! Well....the new project is finally underway. God provided the financing to get started in the studio ($5100). Thank you Jesus!!! I went in and layed scratch tracks for all of the original songs, so that my producer Marque Walker can now develop them musically. I am so excited to work with Marque because he is such a person of excellence. He is currently producing projects for Vicki Winans and Byron Cage. God is always so faithful to give me the best in my life because ultimately it is all about His Kingdom anyway. That's my prayer everyday....God just let me make impact for Your kingdom!
Please be in prayer with me that everyone involved in this project will continue to hear the "sound of Heaven" so that people's lives will be changed through this worship cd. Also, pray that God will provide the rest of the finances to complete the project. I know He will come through...just like He always does!
Thank you so much for always supporting me and Jeff in our assignment! We love you guys so much!!!!
